Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you offer in person, telehealth, or both? Both in person and telehealth sessions are available. Telehealth sessions are provided through a HIPAA compliant portal.

  • Do you accept insurance? MCC does not accept any form of insurance payment for services. Insurance providers require diagnosis of clients, sharing of treatment records, and can also limit treatment types, frequency of services, etc. Potentially limiting the scope of support that could be provided.  MCC prioritizes client privacy and maintaining therapeutic autonomy to best meet the needs of the client.

  • What is the session fee rate? A typical 50-minute session is $120. Extended 70-minute or 90-minute sessions can be requested for an additional fee. All major credit cards, HSA, FSA, and cash payments are accepted.

  • How often would we meet? Frequency of sessions is determined together between the client and I based upon a variety of factors including level of need, scheduling availability, treatment goals, etc. Typically, I recommend starting with weekly or biweekly sessions. To establish therapeutic rapport, build momentum and optimize client motivation. Before moving to monthly and/or maintenance sessions as needed. But again, this is flexible and will be an ongoing discussion between each client and I.

  • Can you see clients outside of Kentucky through Telehealth? NoAt this time, I am only licensed to practice within the state of Kentucky. This means that for telehealth services, clients must be physically located in Kentucky during the time of a session.

  • Do you offer couples/relationship therapy? I do not offer couples/relationship therapy at this time. However, I do often work with clients to discuss whether or not it could be beneficial to have partner(s) join in on a session or two. To help provide collateral information, relational insight, and support. To benefit the overall goals of client. Referrals to couples/Relationship therapists can be made if/when needed.
